Compensation:
This full-time opportunity offers a salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 per year, inclusive of commission and bonuses. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical and dental insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, employee discounts, paid time off, and supplemental benefit plans.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- • Scheduling service appointments and gathering customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
• Greeting customers promptly and courteously, obtaining necessary vehicle information and documenting customer's vehicle issues on repair orders with accuracy.
• Conducting test drives with customers or referring to a test technician to confirm identified problems, consulting service history, inspecting vehicles, and recommending additional necessary services.
• Advising customers on car care and stressing the importance of maintaining vehicles per manufacturers' specifications, providing comprehensive and precise written cost estimates for labor and parts.
• Setting a 'promised time' for service completion, coordinating with the dispatcher if needed, securing customer signatures on repair orders and providing copies for their records, establishing the customer's method of payment, obtaining credit approval if required, notifying the dispatcher of incoming work, and monitoring repair progress throughout the day.
• Communicating changes in estimates or promised time to customers, explaining costs and time requirements in detail and obtaining proper authorization for additional repairs, implementing and upholding a service marketing program, reviewing repair orders to ensure completion, noting any additional work and authorization, and properly closing out repair orders, ensuring vehicles are parked in assigned areas, securely locked, and keys are correctly stored.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, candidates must have at least 2 years of previous service advisor experience, preferably in a dealership setting. They should possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
