Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Regional Sales Manager to spearhead and manage all sales initiatives within our Central region. This role is crucial for driving growth and establishing robust relationships with both national and regional Pet Specialty Retailers as well as key distributors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture relationships at the headquarters level with potential and existing national and regional Pet Specialty Retailers.
  • Engage with key Pet Specialty Distributors in the Central Region, providing training and support to their sales teams to enhance our market share.

  • Close new business by building rapport with prospective accounts and identifying their product and service needs.
  • Collaborate with the USA Sales team to explore new sales opportunities.

  • Provide regular sales forecasts, account status updates, and lead tracking for the region.
  • Analyze sales accounts by reviewing current and potential distributor volumes within the defined area.

  • Manage expenses to align with budgetary guidelines.
  • Stay informed about competitive market trends through research and analysis.
  • Adhere to all company policies and represent the organization in a professional manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields include Business, Marketing, or Sales.
  • 5+ years of experience in CPG sales, specifically targeting headquarters and retail environments.
  • 5+ years of experience in FDM, focusing on grocery, drug, or mass retail stores.
  • Proven experience in partnering with distributors and understanding distributor model principles.
  • Experience in collaborating on product pricing and promotions.
  • Ability to assist in inventory forecasting based on sales data.
  • Strong capability to leverage market trends and data.
  • Exceptional sales and customer service skills, with demonstrated negotiation abilities.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel daily or weekly, spending significant time in transit. Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Compensation:
This position is exempt with a salary range of $100,000 to $125,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
