The Customer Solutions Representative (CSR) plays a vital role in fulfilling our organization's objectives. The CSR fosters connections with clients to access workforce resources within Career Centers and through partnerships with community organizations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage with clients via phone, virtual platforms, or face-to-face to evaluate their aspirations, provide insights, and assist job seekers in their transition to new roles.
  • Analyze and identify employment opportunities for clients and facilitate referrals to suitable candidates.
  • Offer guidance to clients regarding the local job landscape, employment services, educational resources, and additional services, including resume crafting, application assistance, interview preparation, and professional attire advice.
  • Build constructive and collaborative relationships with internal colleagues, the public, and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively seek enhancements to workforce services to align with labor market demands.
  • Contribute to the performance objectives of the Career Center, focusing on customer satisfaction and follow-up with workforce center clients.
  • Perform other assigned tasks and meet responsibilities as required.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
  • Prior experience in workforce development or career counseling is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the local communities served and an understanding of labor market dynamics and resources.
  • Proficient in learning and utilizing computer systems, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capable of engaging with diverse clients who have unique needs and communication styles.
  • Adept at managing challenging situations and difficult clients, demonstrating sensitivity to their needs and emotions.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and organizational capabilities. Able to multitask and learn various systems/platforms, as well as the diverse programs and services available to clients.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with management, colleagues, Board staff, and the public.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance with a clean driving record.
  • Preferred six months of relevant experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally. The role involves standing, sitting, bending, and walking to fulfill job responsibilities. Requires visual acuity, speech, and hearing. The working environment is primarily office-based, with occasional driving and travel as needed. Flexible hours may be necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
