The Customer Solutions Representative (CSR) plays a vital role in fulfilling our organizational objectives. The CSR fosters connections with clients to facilitate access to workforce services within the Career Centers and through collaborations with community partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage with clients via phone, virtual platforms, or face-to-face to evaluate their aspirations, provide insights, and assist job seekers in transitioning to new employment opportunities.
- Analyze and identify suitable job openings for clients and offer referrals to qualified candidates.
- Inform and guide clients on the local job market, employment services, educational resources, and additional services, including resume crafting, application assistance, interview preparation, and professional attire advice.
- Establish constructive and collaborative relationships with internal team members, the public, and external partners.
- Proactively seek improvements in workforce services to align with labor market demands.
- Contribute to the performance objectives of the Career Center, focusing on customer satisfaction and follow-up with workforce center clients.
- Execute other assigned duties and meet responsibilities as required.
- Prior experience in workforce development or career counseling is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the local communities served and understanding of labor market dynamics and resources.
- Proficient in utilizing computers, systems, and software applications such as word processing and spreadsheets.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal abilities.
- Capable of engaging with diverse clients with varying needs and communication styles.
- Adept at managing challenging situations and difficult clients, demonstrating sensitivity to client needs and concerns.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail. Capable of multitasking and adapting to various systems/platforms and diverse programs and services available to clients.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with management, colleagues, Board staff, and the public.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance with a clean driving record.
- Preferred six months of relevant experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
Physical requirements include occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds. The role involves standing, sitting, bending, and walking to fulfill job responsibilities. Requires visual acuity, speech, and hearing. The working environment is primarily office-based, with occasional driving and travel as needed. Flexible hours may be necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
