POSITION SUMMARY

The role involves designing and implementing training programs aimed at educating employees or clients on the installation, programming, safety, maintenance, and repair of aircraft and associated equipment. This position requires collaboration with Hangar personnel to deliver training on various relevant topics.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facilitate and oversee training for maintenance and inspection staff.
  • Create and execute internal training sessions focused on EMB 120, EMB 135/145, EMB 190/195, Legacy aircraft, Phenom, and SAAB.
  • Keep accurate training records, both manually and through digital systems.
  • Organize on-the-job training in partnership with operational departments, including airframe and powerplant familiarization courses.
  • Deliver initial and ongoing training for new hires, mechanics, inspectors, shop staff, and client representatives.
  • Manage a technical library to support internal training needs.
  • Design, implement, and/or facilitate training programs utilizing various resources; assess and select external consultants and trainers as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Manager to ensure all safety training is conducted.
  • Develop an orientation program for new employees that complies with FAA standards.
  • Provide training in General Maintenance Procedures and Designated Inspector training.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • A&P license required
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management preferred
Experience:
  • 5-7 years of experience in a specialized area conducting practical and on-the-job training.
  • Several years of experience in aircraft repair.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the procedures being taught.
  • Ability to interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications or assess sample or damaged parts to determine repair or fabrication methods and sequences.
  • Skilled in repairing aircraft structures according to specifications.
  • Familiarity with machines and tools, including their design, application, repair, and maintenance.
  • Proficient in the use of air-powered hand tools and related equipment.
  • Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for optimizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to develop training programs, including outlines, handouts, and assessments to establish standards.
  • Capable of analyzing technical requirements.

  • Must be able to work safely and professionally, adhering to all regulatory standards including OSHA, EPA, and relevant state and federal regulations.
