STS Technical Services is seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter to join our team in Macon, Georgia. As an Aircraft Painter, you will be responsible for performing essential painting tasks on aircraft and ground support equipment, utilizing a variety of materials and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:- Surface Preparation: Mask, trim, and prepare surfaces on aircraft and ground support equipment, including cleaning, sanding, and applying primers.
- Paint Application: Apply lacquer, primer, synthetic enamel, polyurethane, and epoxy using spray guns, brushes, and rollers. Also, apply decals and other markings as required.
- Safety Compliance: Work safely with potentially hazardous materials, wearing protective equipment as necessary, and adhere to all safety guidelines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain spray guns and other painting equipment, ensuring they are in proper working order.
- Documentation: Read and interpret aircraft paint drawings, maintain accurate records, and ensure all work complies with FAA and customer specifications.
- General Maintenance: Wash and clean aircraft exteriors, paint safety lines, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with all required regulatory and customer training, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant aircraft painting experience, with a strong understanding of painting techniques, materials, and safety precautions.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficient in using spray guns, mixing and matching paints, and familiar with ATA Codes (Chapter and Subchapters).
- Regulatory Familiarity: Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 91/121/145 preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to interpret technical drawings, and effective communication skills in English.
