POSITION SUMMARY

The role involves the development and execution of training programs aimed at equipping employees or clients with the necessary skills for the installation, programming, safety, maintenance, and repair of aircraft and associated equipment. This position also includes collaboration with Hanger personnel to deliver training on relevant topics as required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facilitate and oversee training for maintenance and inspection staff.
  • Create and implement in-house training sessions focused on EMB 120, EMB 135/145, EMB 190/195, Legacy aircraft, Phenom, and SAAB models.
  • Keep accurate training records both manually and via a digital database.
  • Organize on-the-job training in conjunction with operational departments, including airframe and powerplant familiarization courses.
  • Provide initial and ongoing training for new hires, mechanics, inspectors, shop staff, and client representatives.
  • Manage a technical library to support in-house training needs.
  • Design, implement, and/or coordinate the delivery of training programs utilizing various resources; assess and select external consultants and trainers to fulfill training requirements as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Manager to ensure all safety training is conducted appropriately.
  • Develop an orientation program for new employees that complies with FAA standards.
  • Deliver training in General Maintenance Procedures and Designated Inspector training.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • A&P license required
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management preferred
Experience:
  • 5-7 years of experience in a specialized field conducting practical and on-the-job training.
  • Several years of experience in aircraft repair.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Proficient understanding of the procedures being taught.
  • Ability to interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications or analyze samples or damaged components to determine repair or fabrication methods and sequences.
  • Skilled in repairing aircraft structures according to established specifications.
  • Familiarity with machines and tools, including their design, application, repair, and maintenance.
  • Competent in the use of air-powered hand tools and related equipment.
  • Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for optimizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop training programs, including outlines, handouts, and assessments to establish standards.
  • Capable of analyzing technical requirements.
