About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Regional Survey Service Leader to join our team at Westwood Professional Services, Inc. This is a key leadership position that will play a critical role in driving the success of our Survey Service across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Strategic Plans: Work with the Division Survey Service Leader, Regional Leader, and local service leaders to develop and implement a strategic plan to advance service initiatives that support the goals of the division.
  • Lead and Mentor Local Service Leaders: Provide leadership, mentoring, and empowerment to local service leaders in each office, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
  • Drive Business Growth: Work with the Division Survey Service Leader, Regional Leader, and local service leaders to develop short- and long-term growth plans for the survey service, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
  • Ensure Operational Excellence: Ensure company culture, policies, and procedures are consistently implemented within the service team, and that all team members are working together to achieve common goals.
  • Stay Current with Industry Trends: Stay current on service-specific trends, technology, software, hardware, and equipment, and drive value based on innovation.
  • Develop and Implement Standards: Work with the Division Survey Service Leader, Regional Leader, and local service leaders to develop and implement standards for work products specific to the service, such as design standards, reports, specifications, data files, etc.
  • Coordinate Workload and Resources: Responsible for service-based workload coordination across the region, ensuring that all team members have the necessary resources to complete their tasks.
  • Advise on Hiring and Compensation: Advise the Division Survey Service Leader and Regional Leader on hiring decisions and identify technical resource needs as it relates to the service group in the region, ensuring that all team members are fairly compensated and have the necessary skills to succeed.
  • Support Business Development: Support market-based and/or service-based business development in each land office in the region by providing technical expertise and survey revenue generation.
  • Participate in Wellness and Safety Program: Participate in Westwood's wellness and safety program and ensure that the practices are being implemented within the service group across the region.
  • Ensure Compliance with Policies and Practices: Ensure division, regional, and company policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Survey Service Consulting Business: Knowledge of the survey service consulting business, including industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Licensed Professional Surveyor: Licensed Professional Surveyor with a strong understanding of surveying principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Four-Year Survey Degree or Similar: Four-year survey degree or similar, with a strong foundation in surveying principles, practices, and regulations.
  • 8+ Years of Experience in Land Surveying Industry: 8+ years of experience in the land surveying industry, with a strong track record of success in leadership and business development roles.
  • Excellent Technical and Project Management Skills: Excellent technical and project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage teams, develop and implement strategic plans, and drive business growth.
