Requirements

To be successful as a Payroll Specialist, you will need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Payroll Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in payroll, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Payroll Certification: Payroll certification, such as FPC or CPP, is preferred.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with PeopleSoft and Kronos: Experience with PeopleSoft and Kronos payroll systems is highly desirable.
  • Payroll Deductions Experience: Experience with payroll deductions, including union dues, garnishments, and other deductions.
  • Payroll Audits Experience: Experience with payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
