Job Description

Providence Health and Services is seeking a highly skilled Principal Service Engineer IS, Service Owner to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our highly secure, Cybersecurity Maturity Model (CMMC) 2.0 compliant hosting environment.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers, security experts, and business stakeholders to design, operate, grow, and improve large-scale, computer-based services offered to IS, non-IS, and clinical caregivers. Your technical skills will be on par with your Development, Test, and Program Management counterparts.

As a Principal Service Engineer IS, Service Owner, you will be the main contact for coordination between Providence infrastructure services, a third-party hosting partner, and business stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with enterprise security and infrastructure teams to ensure Providence operational and architecture standards are followed for all new and existing deployments.

You will monitor the hosting partner's performance against SLAs and conduct monthly business reviews to ensure they are satisfying all service expectations. This role requires someone with experience managing vendor relationships, presenting to senior IS and business leadership, coordinating across organizations, and a technical background in security, cloud, and network services.

This is a critical role in ensuring our regulated business meets CMMC 2.0 requirements and provides a high-quality experience for our caregivers. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, operate, grow, and improve large-scale, computer-based services offered to IS, non-IS, and clinical caregivers.
  • Collaborate with enterprise security and infrastructure teams to ensure Providence operational and architecture standards are followed.
  • Monitor the hosting partner's performance against SLAs and conduct monthly business reviews.
  • Manage vendor relationships and present to senior IS and business leadership.
  • Coordinate across organizations and have a technical background in security, cloud, and network services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent education/experience.
  • 8 years of related experience; more preferred.
  • Strong experience in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes.
  • Strong experience with n-tier solutions.
  • Strong experience with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and ability to simulate service outages for point solutions (automated) and platforms (manually).
  • Strong experience influencing engineering team members in translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet Quality of Service Expectations.
  • Strong experience leading and representing the Service in backlog discussions and standups to establish appropriate prioritization of Live Site requirements.
  • Strong experience leveraging data and metrics to drive behavior, process, and priority decisions.
  • Strong experience in advanced problem solving using systematic procedures and investigating problems utilizing root cause analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience in a Healthcare environment.
