Job Overview

Walter Surface Technologies Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Territory Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing existing account relationships and driving growth within your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve targeted growth and expand distribution channels within your territory.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to drive end-user demand for new product offerings.
  • Build and maintain a strong distribution network to support sales efforts.
  • Manage administrative functions, including weekly reporting and expense management.
  • Provide training and support to distributors on our products, programs, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with distributors to demonstrate and train end-users on our products and their applications.
  • Generate and manage end-user orders, and bring orders to distribution on a regular basis.
  • Organize and participate in trade shows to promote our products.
  • Utilize sales tools and programs to increase product sales to existing customers.
  • Support regional and national accounts, and leverage Salesforce to manage your opportunity pipeline.
  • Prepare for customer meetings, and provide product sales forecasts and business plans.
  • Work with the inside sales team to follow up and close sales leads within your territory.
  • Effectively manage your time to prioritize key accounts and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the rep agency network to drive sales growth.
  • Deliver high-quality presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the abrasive or tooling industry.
  • Deep knowledge of sales channels, including welding, safety, construction, industrial, and STAFDA.
  • Cutting tool knowledge is an asset.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to generate and cultivate new leads.
  • Ability to handle a high-volume, fast-paced environment and maintain composure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • A positive attitude and ability to think quickly on your feet.
  • Experience using Salesforce is essential.
