Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
1. Supporting the PLC Engineering Team in the design, development, and documentation of PLC programs for industrial refrigeration systems using platforms such as Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, FactoryTalk SE, Wonderware, and Ignition.
2. Creating and interpreting logic and flow diagrams essential for program design, simulation, testing, and implementation.
3. Providing technical guidance to the Sales Team for customer interactions and quotations.
4. Utilizing refrigeration knowledge to assist in resolving complex troubleshooting issues.
5. Planning, organizing, and managing project timelines and resources within the PLC Engineering Department.
6. Leading, mentoring, and developing the PLC Engineering Team to enhance their skills and performance.
7. Establishing performance competencies and ensuring team members receive appropriate recognition and development opportunities.
8. Contributing to strategic planning and reviews by offering engineering insights to improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
9. Forecasting departmental needs and preparing annual budgets for personnel, equipment, and training while monitoring expenditures and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience with industrial refrigeration systems and principles.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and developing PLC programs.
- 7-10 years of experience with PLC controls, particularly Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk.
- Familiarity with Wonderware and Ignition is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of VFDs, starters, and circuit breakers (220V & 460V) is preferred.
- Ability to create and interpret wiring diagrams.
- Strong project management and time management skills to maintain engineering schedules.
- Understanding of communication protocols and controls networking principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a collaborative environment.
- A results-oriented mindset with a hands-on approach.
- Strong organizational skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to travel domestically as needed (10-20% per year).
