B&H Photo is seeking an Applications Integration Manager who possesses both strategic insight and practical expertise to implement integration technologies such as Mulesoft. The ideal candidate will merge analytical skills with technical integration knowledge and project management methodologies to spearhead data integration projects. This role involves selecting the most suitable integration strategies and applying robust technical management and development skills throughout the project lifecycle to deliver high-quality solutions.

The Applications Integration Manager will oversee the design, development, and management of application interfaces, data flows, and APIs, leveraging both vendor-provided services and internal API management tools. This includes migrating legacy data feeds to cloud-based integration technologies, ensuring seamless data flow between on-premise and hosted applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various application leaders to assess their current environments and integrations, documenting all external and internal connections. Develop a comprehensive plan for implementing these integrations within a centralized integration framework and recommend appropriate technologies for managing all integrations centrally.
  • Define the integration and data flow architecture while evaluating vendor web services and API capabilities. Identify gaps in available integration services and devise remediation strategies to maintain stability as underlying platform technologies evolve.
  • Deliver essential systems integration solutions for new business solution replacements and platform transitions, ensuring the continuity and security of systems, data, and business services throughout the conversion process.
  • Assess future API management tools, evaluating their capabilities against requirements and conducting necessary validation activities.
  • Contribute to the development and management of an external-facing API layer for business partner integrations, including mobile applications and third-party services.
  • Work with support teams to address production incidents and proactively identify opportunities for preventative measures to mitigate recurrence.
  • Cultivate a strong team culture focused on enhancing application integration techniques.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a centralized integration team in both leadership and hands-on roles.
  • Background in transformation initiatives utilizing integration technologies to successfully connect systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, E-Commerce).
  • At least 7 years of experience delivering high-performing application solutions that meet scope, budget, and timeline criteria.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with various integration methods and technologies, including web services, SOAP, JSON, REST, APIs, XML, automated testing frameworks, and orchestration tools.
  • Expertise in evaluating integration approaches and their effectiveness in achieving business objectives.
  • Experience developing integrations across multiple technologies and programming languages such as Microsoft .NET, Java, JavaScript, PHP, and Python, along with scripting in Linux and Windows.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL supporting legacy integration methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Highly motivated individual with exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities, multitask between project development and customer support, and adapt to evolving business and technical requirements.
  • Experience in a collaborative, team-oriented environment that values positive relationships among colleagues.
  • Knowledge of leading customer relationship management platforms such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Web API.
  • Experience with marketing or fundraising business processes.
  • Familiarity with WSO2 or MuleSoft.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies as well as traditional structured approaches.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as SVN or Git.
  • Experience with ServiceNow.
  • Background in a higher education setting.
