WIC Program Manager

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a highly skilled WIC Coordinator to oversee the WIC Program and provide nutritional services to patients and clients. The ideal candidate will have experience working with multicultural populations and possess strong diplomacy, supervision, and teaching skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate WIC Program activities, including reporting, data gathering, and maintenance of program files and records.
- Plan and provide nutrition consultations, in-services, and continuing education opportunities to Nutrition Department staff and Sea Mar staff.
- Supervise and direct WIC Nutritionists, Nutrition Assistants, and WIC Clerks, conducting regular staff meetings and acting as a liaison to management and other departments.
- Participate in county, state, and local nutritionists meetings, serving as an advocate for the Nutrition Department and other Sea Mar departments or programs.
Requirements:
- Preferably a degree in nutrition from an accredited college or university, approved hospital dietetic internship, or equivalent training and experience.
- Experience with the WIC Program, multicultural populations, and the use of interpreters is required.
- 7 hours of HIV/AIDS course completion.
- Must maintain current R.D. and C.D. credentials (as applicable, for registered dietitians).
- Medical Assistant-Registered Certification required for Hemoglobin testing (if providing direct service).
