Position Overview:

Are you enthusiastic about working outdoors and prioritizing safety? Become a part of our team at USIC as a Field Utility Technician. We are looking for individuals who are meticulous, safety-focused, and enjoy working independently in the field. In this role, you will be tasked with the precise identification of underground utilities utilizing advanced technology and equipment provided by the company.

  • Accurately and safely identify various underground utilities, including telecommunications, electrical power, cable television, gas, water, and sewage systems.
  • Conduct thorough searches in designated areas, mark utility locations accurately, complete required documentation, and capture photographs of each utility locate.

This full-time role involves outdoor work in diverse weather conditions, with the possibility of weekend and overtime shifts as necessary. A valid driver's license, proficiency in computer use, and the capability to lift up to 75 lbs are mandatory. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, contractors, and homeowners are also crucial.
