Job Title: Power Generation Field Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Power Generation Field Service Technician to join our team in Lafayette, LA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for completing preventative maintenance and basic repair activities on generators and components at customer sites with minimal direction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Completing preventative maintenance and basic repair activities on generators and components at customer sites with minimal direction.
  • Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Applying the use of specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
  • Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • Completing training in line with skill and business requirements.
  • Adhering to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation and reporting any issues/incidents to their supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
  • Experience with power generators, Load Banking, Preventive Maintenance, ATS, troubleshooting, and diagnostic tools, new unit installs.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products.
  • Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision - hands-on exposure to working on power generation products.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
  • Apprentice Certified Power Generation/Electrical Technician (Preferred).
  • Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.
  • Current relevant electrical certification.
  • Locally valid driving permit.
Compensation and Benefits:

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.

The successful candidate will be subject to our Pre-Employment Background Screening process that consists of a Criminal Background Check as well as Education and Work Experience Verification. This position will require a Med-Card and we will also be required to complete a DMV driving report. The candidate must be 21 years old.
