POSITION OVERVIEW:


The Senior Behavior Technician Supervisor plays a vital role in mentoring and guiding fellow behavior technicians, offering resources and support to enhance their professional development.

This position also involves collaborating on the creation and execution of training programs for new behavior technicians.

In addition, the Supervisor will maintain a client caseload and deliver direct therapy services as directed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Duties:

Facilitate meetings with behavior technicians (mentees) during their onboarding period to cover essential topics such as RBT certification, billing practices, documentation, data collection, professionalism, interpersonal skills, and ABA principles.

Conduct bi-weekly discussions with BCBA Supervisors to assess the developmental needs of mentees.

Engage in research to address mentee inquiries and support their professional growth.

Provide comprehensive training and assistance to mentees to help them achieve company performance benchmarks.

Guide behavior technicians in completing necessary documentation and applying for Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.

Deliver direct ABA therapy services to clients as directed by the supervising BCBA.

Ensure accurate and timely clinical data collection and documentation.

Assist in preparing instructional and clinical materials for client use.

Maintain ongoing communication with the client's support team.

Implement Behavior Intervention Plans and Individual Treatment Plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.

Manage crisis situations related to clients exhibiting potential physical aggression.

Refer clients and families to appropriate staff for therapy or non-therapy-related inquiries.

Attend client meetings as necessary, maintaining sensitivity to family dynamics.

Keep up with required certifications and training for the role (e.g., RBT certification, crisis intervention training, CPR, and First Aid).

Adhere to the Acorn Health Code of Ethics, Corporate Compliance Program, HIPAA regulations, and all relevant laws and guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities.

Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to maintain confidentiality in records and correspondence.

Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Education:
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.
Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in good standing with the BACB. Enrollment in coursework to pursue Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credentials is preferred.

Experience and Knowledge:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in the ABA field. Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring colleagues is preferred. Proficiency in Central Reach, Microsoft Office (including Teams), and Paylocity is desirable.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:


Must meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting clients, managing equipment, and employing physical management techniques when necessary.
