Position Overview

New Heights ABA is seeking a dedicated and skilled Behavioral Support Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing essential support to children aged 1-6 who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and have reliable transportation to deliver services effectively.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing behavior intervention plans and teaching vital skills to young children. Services will be provided in various settings, including daycares and our clinics. Weekly supervision by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will be an integral part of this role. Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing behavior interventions
  • Collecting and analyzing data
  • Documenting session notes
  • Collaborating with the team
  • Facilitating the development of communication, social, play, and life skills in children

This position is an excellent opportunity for those aspiring to obtain their BCBA certification, with potential for advancement to a case manager role while gaining experience across various environments.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or higher is strongly preferred.
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with children aged 1-6 is required.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification must be obtained upon hire.

Comprehensive training and supervision will be provided to ensure compliance with the requirements for maintaining RBT certification. Candidates must demonstrate their ability to engage effectively with children and collaborate with staff during the selection process.
