Position Overview

BlazerJobs is in search of a committed and enthusiastic Behavioral Support Technician (BST) to provide essential support in the field of behavioral health. The BST will operate under the guidance of a certified Behavior Analyst to execute tailored intervention strategies and deliver direct therapeutic services to individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute individualized behavior intervention strategies developed by the Behavior Analyst to meet the unique requirements of each client.
  • Deliver direct therapeutic services in various environments, including home, educational, and community settings.
  • Monitor and document client progress and behavioral data using established measurement techniques.
  • Contribute to fostering a nurturing and encouraging learning atmosphere for clients.
  • Engage in collaboration with the Behavior Analyst and other professionals within the therapeutic team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Behavioral Support Technician credential from the relevant certification board.
  • Experience in working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to adhere to intervention strategies and apply therapeutic techniques proficiently.

Work Environment:

  • Settings may include home, educational institutions, or community environments.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to participate in physical activities with clients, including bending, kneeling, and lifting weights up to 50 pounds.
