About the Role
As a Behavioral Support Technician, you will be part of a passionate team dedicated to providing patient-centered care. Our organization is recognized nationally for its exceptional healthcare services.
In this role, you will deliver compassionate care to patients with autism spectrum disorder and related challenges under the guidance of a Behavior Analyst. Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing approved treatment strategies using applied behavior analysis.
- Effectively applying reinforcement techniques.
- Documenting and assisting in functional behavior assessments.
- Engaging with families to discuss progress and strategies for home support.
- Participating in required supervision sessions with the Behavior Analyst.

Key Responsibilities
Your primary duties will include:
- Collecting baseline data and executing treatment plans using applied behavior analysis consistently.
- Assisting the Behavior Analyst in conducting functional behavior assessments.
- Communicating effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and home strategies.
- Participating in required supervision with the Behavior Analyst.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
An Associate's degree is required, which can be offset by six months of experience in applied behavior analysis. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Certification Requirements:
- Completion of a 40-hour coursework for Registered Behavior Technician Certification (RBT) is required prior to starting.
- RBT competency assessment and exam must be completed within 30 days of hire.
- A BCBA or BCaBA certification may substitute for the RBT Certification requirement.
Work Environment
This role requires the ability to work in a dynamic environment and respond appropriately in challenging situations. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build rapport with families from diverse backgrounds.
Physical Requirements
The position requires a full range of motion, including the ability to handle and lift students, as well as manual dexterity and coordination. Candidates must be able to manage patients of varying weights and sizes.
