Role Summary

As a Senior or Staff Construction Project Manager, you will oversee both internal and external teams to ensure the timely construction and startup of Antora Energy's thermal energy storage commercial projects, adhering to budget constraints and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. You will play a crucial technical role within a rapidly expanding organization as we implement some of our initial commercial-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage coordination among internal and external teams (EPC, contractors, and subcontractors) to ensure the timely and budget-compliant construction and startup of multiple Antora projects, each exceeding $100M.
  • Lead change management processes with contractors when unforeseen scope changes occur.
  • Assist in negotiating agreements and contracts with EPC, contractors, and subcontractors, providing expertise in defining construction scope.
  • Facilitate clear communication among team members and stakeholders, focusing on risk management, contingency planning, and documentation of requests for information (RFIs).
  • Oversee and maintain the construction schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct constructability reviews of engineering drawings and provide input on construction sequencing and equipment delivery timelines.
  • Perform regular site inspections to monitor project progress, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and address any emerging issues.
  • Present project status updates to both internal and external stakeholders regularly.
  • Document lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle to inform future initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% across North America for project locations and to Antora's headquarters.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Construction Management, with over 8 years of experience in industrial project construction management (oil & gas, chemicals, power plants, etc.).
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale industrial construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Experience collaborating with EPC teams, contractors, and subcontractors in both office and project site environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (MS Project, P6, Smartsheet, etc.) and construction management tools (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative, fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) designation in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology.
  • Commitment to adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Experience in vendor and client relationship management.
