Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cat Scan TechnologistIV Cert Cancer Center to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing medically prescribed radiographic and CT procedures.

Utilizing computerized tomography (CT) scanners, you will produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues to aid in the diagnosis of medical issues. Your expertise will be essential in accurately interpreting physicians' scanning instructions, administering contrast materials, and preparing and operating the CT scan equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and administer IV contrast media, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Explain CT or IR procedures and administer contrast to patients, engaging radiologists and/or LIP as necessary.
  • Perform CT scans, positioning patients and radiographic equipment to capture high-quality images.
  • Monitor patients for signs of contrast media reactions and/or extravasation, notifying radiologists or LIP as needed.
  • Collaborate with other technologists and medical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Perform quality control checks on CT/IR equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • New York State license as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) and IV Contrast Certification within 3 months of employment.
  • Advance Certification in Computerized Tomography.
