About the Opportunity
The Gastrointestinal Oncology Service in the Department of Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a full-time early career investigator in gastroesophageal cancer translational research. This physician-scientist will focus on patient care, research, and education for esophageal and gastric cancers, with a one-year protected research time to advance translational studies in gastroesophageal cancer under the mentorship of Dr. Yelena Janjigian.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct translational research in gastroesophageal cancer, with a focus on biomarker development and laboratory research.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of experts in the field of gastroesophageal cancer research.
- Develop and implement innovative research studies to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
- MD and/or PhD in a relevant field, such as oncology, translational medicine, or molecular biology.
- Strong passion for translational research and advancing cancer therapeutics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
