Position Title: Senior Contract Administrator

Location: Charleston, SC

Position Overview/Role

The Senior Contract Administrator will serve as a key member of the Contracts and Procurement team in direct support of company goals and objectives. The primary job duties require exercising discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance to the business. The Senior Contract Administrator will be responsible for managing all elements of the contracting function, ensuring process and procedure compliance with company, federal, and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary interface with Government Contracting Office, providing customer service and offering sound solutions to Government challenges based on customer needs, preferences, and strong understanding of various contract and subcontract complexities.
  • Work closely with customers, program team, and subcontractors regarding funding and budgetary issues for each program.
  • Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and provide interpretations of terms and conditions.
  • Monitor performance, funding, and payments on assigned contracts, notifying upper management and site Program Management of potential issues that could have an adverse impact to the company or contract performance.
  • Draft, issue, and negotiate subcontract agreements and modifications, consulting agreements, teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, letters of intent, and ad hoc agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in English/Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
  • General management, legal, and/or business experience in the Federal Government/Contractor sector with at least 5 years of experience supporting Government contracts/subcontracts or DoD-related project management.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and Supplements, as well as other federal government regulations and policies.
  • Effective management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple, complex projects, often with competing priorities.
  • Ability to evaluate risks and discern legal implications associated with contractual terms and conditions, and the ability to communicate those to upper management.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure and organize and prioritize tasks according to shifting demands on time and resources.
  • Exceptional computer skills, with an emphasis on the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, with co-workers and team members.
  • Experience working as a team member engaged in tasks requiring teamwork and performance to schedules.
