Job Summary:

The Imaging Clinical Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and operational efficiency within the Radiology department. This position is responsible for coordinating the workflow, implementing quality assurance programs, and managing the overall operations of the section.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Operational Strategies: Develop, review, and implement policies and procedures to ensure optimal quality patient care and efficient processes.
  • Resolve Clinical Performance Issues: Resolve physician complaints regarding clinical performance and provide excellent triage of patients.
  • Ensure Radiation Safety and Protection: Ensure a thorough understanding of radiation safety and protection principles, and demonstrate creativity in section operational skills and decision-making.
  • Manage Projects and Initiatives: Initiate and manage various projects with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements:
  • Education and Certification: Associate degree or graduate of an accredited school/program of Radiology or Nuclear Medicine with a valid certification.
  • Licensure and Certification: Licensed Radiologic Technologist.
  • Certification and Experience: Must be certified by at least one of the following: ARRT or ARDMS or CNT or CVT or NMTCB or RVT or CAMRT or NMTCB; as applicable with additional certification in an applicable imaging modality required.
  • Leadership Experience: Three years of imaging experience in a hospital/healthcare environment with experience in an applicable imaging modality.
  • Leadership Experience (Preferred): Three years leadership experience in a hospital/healthcare environment with a diagnostic testing department, preferred.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support Certification.
