We are seeking a skilled Third Cook to join our team at Tufts University. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of menu items for service, following established preparation guidelines and department recipes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare menu items using various cooking methods and food preparation equipment.
  • Complete all assigned work to meet meal service deadlines and maintain high standards of quality and sanitation.
  • Interact with customers in a friendly and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service.
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision, demonstrating a logical, efficient, and productive approach to tasks.
  • Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and general upkeep of food preparation equipment and station.
  • Implement food safety guidelines and accurately complete service records.
Requirements
  • Ability to operate a variety of foodservice equipment, including Flat Top Griddle, Deep Fryer, Char-broiler, Steamer, and others.
  • Excellent knife skills and solid understanding of foodservice terminology.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred; Associates Degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred.
