Job Overview

Position Title: Healthcare Practice Administrator

Department: Administration

Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer

Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversees clinic personnel and manages all operational activities.

General Summary: This role is essential for delivering administrative guidance for the medical practice and associated facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, formulates, and executes enhancements for the organization.
  • Advises the CEO on prevailing trends, challenges, and medical operations to aid in strategic decision-making.
  • Establishes, secures endorsement, and supervises operational policies and protocols.
  • Manages recruitment, training, and performance assessment of all team members.
  • Promotes and organizes employee recognition initiatives and events.
  • Oversees the financial management and business operations of the organization.
  • Directs and manages the billing and collections department.
  • Improves operational efficiency, focusing on cost control while maintaining innovation and quality of care.
  • Ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements governing healthcare delivery and accreditation standards, consistently monitoring operations and initiating necessary adjustments.
  • Addresses any administrative-medical issues and fosters open communication with staff to maintain high morale and a professional, healthy work environment.
  • Engages in professional development and maintains affiliations to stay updated on the latest healthcare trends.
  • Upholds the highest standards of confidentiality and complies with HIPAA and Hi-Tech regulations.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience: A minimum of three years in healthcare operations and management.

Knowledge:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the healthcare sector, including laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Familiarity with healthcare finance, operations (including management of an ambulatory care center), coding and reimbursement, risk management, and performance enhancement.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Abilities:

  • Capacity to communicate effectively, lead, and manage teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, and telephones.

Work Environment: This position is situated in a well-lit office setting.

Mental/Physical Requirements: The role involves sitting for approximately 90% of the time, with walking or standing for the remainder.
