This position is responsible for overseeing the credentialing and re-credentialing processes for all healthcare professionals associated with SouthCoast Health. The role requires meticulous documentation management and serves as a liaison between healthcare providers and facilities.
Essential Qualifications:
- Exemplary professionalism in dealings with diverse stakeholders.
- Capability to operate independently while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage stress and meet deadlines.
Primary Duties:
- Administer the credentialing and re-credentialing processes for SouthCoast Health providers across multiple healthcare organizations.
- Ensure that providers uphold the necessary licenses and credentials with insurance payors and hospitals.
- Foster relationships with insurance entities and keep precise contract information.
- Organize training sessions for administrative staff regarding insurance protocols and procedures.
Qualifications and Education:
A Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of five years in managing a substantial physician practice is required. Must possess strong multitasking abilities, effective communication skills, and a collaborative spirit. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access is essential.
