Job Summary

The Robotics Nurse Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing all aspects of the robotic and minimally invasive surgical program. This includes developing and implementing clinical and programmatic policies and procedures, operational and educational budgets, and managing patient care processes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical and programmatic policies and procedures
  • Manage patient care processes, including creating and managing surgery block time and robotic surgery scheduling
  • Develop tools for documentation and evaluating program growth and development
  • Develop and coordinate all robotics-related educational forums for staff and physicians
  • Promote the program to the community at large, with assistance from marketing
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Texas and a graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum associates degree in nursing, but BSN preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in clinical laparoscopic surgery
  • Advanced practice skills, including expert practitioner, educator, consultant, and researcher
Education/Licensure
  • Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Texas, or part of a compact state license, or has a valid temporary RN license for the State of Texas while waiting to receive the permanent license
  • BSN preferred, or currency in CSFA certification (through NBSTSA), CSA (through NSAA), or SA-C certification (through ABSA)
  • Health Care Provider BLS Card upon hire and if RN, ACLS and PALS within 3 months of hire
