Key Responsibilities


The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused care and overseeing all departmental functions during their shift.

Working closely with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and assesses nursing care in line with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision and values to foster exceptional patient experiences and clinical results.


In this role, you will:
- Assist with patient admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient care delivery.

- Participate in ongoing evaluations of the quality of care provided in collaboration with management.

- Collaborate with experts and other managers to cultivate a teamwork-oriented environment that enhances outcomes and service quality.

- Uphold a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery as needed.

- Support facility initiatives to boost staff engagement through nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly checks.

- Provide input on hiring, training, and development of new staff.

- Recommend and implement actions related to training, conflict resolution, compliance with personnel policies, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures to maintain a competitive organization.

- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor aspects in accordance with patient care needs and productivity standards.
- Ensure proper inventory management and assist with supplies and equipment oversight.

Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, Neonate Resuscitation, PALS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Trauma Nursing Core Course certifications are required.


This position requires full COVID-19 vaccination based on applicable laws and regulations, unless a medical or religious exemption is approved.

Rio Grande Regional Hospital has been a cornerstone of the Rio Grande Valley for over 30 years, offering a full range of inpatient and outpatient medical services. Our facility is equipped with over 320 beds and a diverse team of more than 500 physicians across 35 specialties.

Our Emergency Room is a Level III Trauma Center, complemented by three remote ERs in the region. We also provide comprehensive Women's Services, including labor and delivery and a specialized NICU.
