Job Overview
The Systems Engineering Validation division is tasked with the strategic planning and execution of essential field-testing initiatives aimed at achieving certification and enhancing design comprehension within the engineering sector. This team encompasses a diverse array of disciplines and focus areas, ranging from prototype field operations and instrumentation to sophisticated modeling and data analysis. The role of the Senior Validation Engineer is pivotal in driving activities that contribute to product design and development, ensuring quality solutions, and fostering a comprehensive understanding of components. The ideal candidate will possess the capability and determination to lead critical testing and data analysis efforts that support product advancement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct power performance evaluations, testing, and reporting.
  • Test electrical components, consumption metrics, 3-phase power systems, and grid code compliance.
  • Oversee test programs to guarantee the effective execution of the validation strategy.
  • Maintain transparent communication and status updates for testing stakeholders.
  • Perform data analysis and/or evaluate testing outcomes for internal stakeholders, aiding in DVRs, RCAs, or FMEA assessments.
  • Lead initiatives as a Validation Engineer focusing on Acoustic & Dynamics.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the engineering field.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% to facilitate field testing.
Preferred Attributes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Willingness to work in field environments, including climbing wind turbines as necessary to fulfill testing requirements.
  • Advanced degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical systems testing.
  • Familiarity with medium voltage design.
  • Experience in wind technology, power generation, or relevant heavy industrial technologies.
  • A passion for driving product understanding and enhancements during the early stages of development.
  • Proficiency in using IMC FAMOS, MATLAB analysis software, or other data analysis tools.
