Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize safety while collaborating in a team-oriented environment.
- Contribute to the design and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring optimal operation and troubleshooting across various electrical systems.
- Provide technical leadership on facility-based projects, collaborating with both internal teams and external vendors.
- Work in conjunction with Mechanical and Process engineers to integrate electrical designs with overall system specifications.
- Engage with suppliers for procurement processes, including RFQs and vendor drawing evaluations.
- Draft comprehensive electrical specifications for equipment procurement, including transformers and switchgear.
- Create safety procedures for electrical equipment maintenance and operations.
- Effectively communicate technical findings and solutions through detailed reports and presentations to stakeholders.
- Mentor and support less experienced colleagues.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or a 2-year Electrical Technology Degree with at least 10 years of experience.
- Experience in electrical construction, including inspections and resolving issues to ensure project compliance.
- Hands-on experience with testing electrical systems, including transformers and generators, and a solid understanding of protection schemes.
- Experience in electrical commissioning within power generation facilities, focusing on equipment testing and system startup.
- Extensive background in electrical system design and grid-connected power systems.
- Proficient in electrical construction, installation, and maintenance within various power environments.
- Familiarity with global electrical codes and standards applicable to large-scale energy systems.
- Experience conducting power studies and developing distribution drawings.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information clearly.
- Understanding of electric grid operations and electrical control systems.
