Required Education
All applicants must possess a minimum of a doctoral degree with relevant research experience in Plant Pathology.

Required Related Experience

Candidates should exhibit strong interpersonal abilities that promote teamwork and collaboration, along with the capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a large interdisciplinary team. Additionally, candidates must be adept at managing multiple academic projects.


Required License/Registration/Certification
PhD in research experience in Plant Pathology.

Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods.

Shift
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (40 hours/week)

Job Summary

The Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Kentucky is actively seeking applications for a Post Doctoral Scholar position. This role involves direct collaboration with Dr. Nicole Gauthier on various research initiatives related to Hemp, including seed disease investigations and bio-control assessments in both field and greenhouse settings.

This is a temporary role with an initial duration of one year from the date of hire, with the possibility of reappointment contingent upon funding availability and departmental needs.


Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Essential qualifications include a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology or a closely related discipline, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
