About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and progressive physician leader to join our team as Chief Medical Officer for the Providence Clinical Network. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the pursuit of delivering high-quality care in the ambulatory care ministry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Vision: Provide strategic leadership and vision to the Providence Clinical Network, aligning clinical quality and operations with the organization's goals and objectives.
  2. Clinical Quality and Operations: Evaluate and improve clinical quality and operations across the network, ensuring high-performing groups and alignment with system priorities.
  3. Collaboration and Alignment: Foster collaboration and alignment among physicians and providers from all regions, promoting a unified clinical and organizational voice.
  4. Performance Improvement: Develop and implement successful performance improvement plans, standards, and practices to achieve system goals and objectives.
  5. Financial Performance: Partner with Operations to drive financial performance improvement initiatives, including reducing hospitalist sponsorship costs and achieving breakeven on contribution margin basis.
  6. Strategic Decision-Making: Provide a key clinical voice to system strategic decisions and participate in Clinical Council and other leadership forums.
Requirements

We are seeking a licensed MD or DO with at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a health system, with a focus on standardization and implementation of innovative care models, practice transformation, highly reliable clinical quality, and patient and employee safety.

The ideal candidate will have a record of forming and implementing a strategic clinical vision, aligning responsibilities with system priorities, and driving high-performing teams to achieve results.
