About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Neiman Marcus Group Careers. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our East Coast fulfillment center in Pittston, PA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Supervision: Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation of employees.
  • Coaching and Development: Responsible for coaching and developing supervisors to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Operational Metrics and KPIs: Responsible for tracking and analyzing operational metrics and KPIs to ensure the department is meeting its goals and objectives.
  • Safety Programs and OSHA Compliance: Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment for all associates and managers by supporting all safety programs and OSHA compliance.
  • Team Leadership: Responsible for leading and developing a team of supervisors and hourly associates.
  • Information Source: Act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency, and taking corrective action when needed.
  • Mentoring and Training: Responsible for mentoring, training, and developing supervisors and associates.
  • Quality Control: Responsible for creating, communicating, and maintaining quality control policies and SOPs to supervisors and associates.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Productivity Planning: Responsible for building and delivering productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Operations Managers to balance labor.
  • Performance Evaluation: Evaluate performance objectives and metrics to determine department productivity requirements to achieve LOS, accuracy, and quality expectations.
  • Best Practices: Partner with other managers to share best practices across shifts and the network.
Requirements
  • Experience: 4 or more years of related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Management Experience: Previous management experience in a distribution/fulfillment center.
Physical Demands
  • Lifting and Moving: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Bending and Stooping: The employee may be required to occasionally stoop, bend, or kneel.
