Logistics and Quality Control Coordinator - National Accounts
A leading manufacturer in the commercial flooring sector is in search of a logistics coordinator to oversee all shipments associated with the National Accounts division. Compensation is set at $22/hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently schedule and manage an average of 30-40 shipments weekly for National Accounts.
- Collaborate with the National Account Team to comprehend the specific requirements of each order.
- Organize the transportation of material orders from offsite storage to job sites (LTL, FTL).
- Ensure Bill of Lading (BOL) documentation is provided to the shipping department by 4 PM the day before shipping.
- Maintain communication with the shipping department to relay shipment arrangements as necessary.
- Oversee the weekly shipping calendar in alignment with customer installation timelines, making adjustments in coordination with the National Accounts team.
- Facilitate communication with General Contractors regarding freight coordination.
- Guarantee timely shipping and delivery of all freight.
- Provide tracking information to customers along with essential documentation (e.g., packing lists and closeout forms).
- Address issues related to lost or damaged shipments in collaboration with freight carriers and the internal plant team.
- Data Entry: Collaborate with the Logistics and Quality Assurance Manager to update financial applications, linking purchases to freight companies and adjusting freight costs for final billing; CRM updates.
- Follow up on necessary closeout documentation for all orders.
- Work closely with the Logistics and Quality Assurance Manager to achieve the objectives of a developing Quality Assurance department:
o Ensure consistent installation quality by developing and enforcing installation standards as outlined by management, including reporting and documentation.
o Contribute to Quality Assurance operational goals by providing regular information and analysis for action plans; this may involve site visits for firsthand analysis or coordinating repairs through TaskRabbit, communicating quality standards, and establishing customer service benchmarks; actively identify and resolve issues as they arise, and determine opportunities for installer improvements (re-training, advanced education).
o Formulate actionable quality assurance strategies through comprehensive contractor analysis, identifying critical issues and preventive measures; monitor installations to take proactive corrective actions as needed.
o Conduct regular follow-ups with customers regarding deliveries and installations to uphold our commitment to 100% job satisfaction and ensure service level agreements are met.
o Validate quality assurance processes by enforcing product specifications and quality attributes, as evidenced by on-site survey documentation. Write and update quality assurance procedures.
o Maintain and enhance product quality through regular audits of products, systems, compliance, and investigation of customer complaints.
o Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop new product and engineering designs, as well as training methodologies.
o Prepare documentation and reporting by analyzing and summarizing data and trends, including failed installations, corrective actions, and re-training initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, Outlook.
- Familiarity with Google Drive - Sheets, Forms, shared drive.
- Completion of Eco-Grip installation training (training provided internally).
- Full-time position with 100% in-office hours, Monday to Friday.
- Dress Code: In-office business casual (men: khakis or better, belt; women: smart business casual).
- Potential travel to job sites locally.
