Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Guest Service Agent to join our team at Stonebridge Companies. As a Guest Service Agent, you will be the primary point of contact for all guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a seamless experience throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the front desk with accuracy and efficiency, following standard operating procedures.
  • Check guests in and out, handling reservations, and managing the credit card system.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate records, including registration cards and cash sheets.
  • Operate the switchboard, taking messages and faxes, and ensuring timely delivery of messages to guests.
  • Stay knowledgeable about hotel promotions, room rates, and amenities to provide guests with accurate information.
  • Complete daily reports, audits, and correspondence as required.
  • Ensure the lobby and office area are clean and well-maintained.
  • Prepare room status sheets for housekeeping and update them as necessary.
  • Take and confirm credit card information for validity and acceptability.
  • Lock and secure the front desk area when leaving.
  • Create incident reports for guest injuries or issues as needed.
  • Answer all calls within three rings, using a scripted greeting.
  • Take and record reservations with accuracy, confirming as requested.
  • Resolve guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • One year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to speak English fluently.
  • Ability to interpret and perform basic computer and POS system functions.
Work Environment

The work environment is typically indoor, with minimal to moderate noise levels consistent with a hotel environment. You may be exposed to and use cleaning chemicals throughout the shift.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this position include standing more than 2/3 of the time, walking less than 1/3 of the time, and sitting less than 1/3 of the time. You will be required to lift up to 15 pounds, push/pull up to 10 pounds, and perform other physical tasks as necessary.
