Overview:
The Lead Financial Analyst role is integral to our accounting team, reporting directly to the Controller.

This position involves compiling financial data for reporting purposes, conducting thorough analyses and reconciliations of financial transactions and accounts, preparing journal entries, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. Additionally, the Lead Financial Analyst will assist in the month-end close process, ensuring accurate balance sheet reconciliations.

The incumbent will evaluate extensive datasets, applying GAAP, IFRS, and CAES policies to financial transactions. Responsibilities also include documenting best practices, identifying opportunities for process enhancements, and sharing insights with colleagues and stakeholders. This role requires meeting deadlines consistently and performing effectively under pressure while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:
- Facilitate month-end processing and reporting in alignment with CAES deadlines.
- Allocate expenses to the correct accounts or sub-accounts.
- Ensure the maintenance of precise and well-supported accounting records in the general ledger.
- Engage with financial institutions regarding cash balances, transfers, and statements.
- Prepare manual journal entries.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Support internal, external, and U.S. Government audits.
- Communicate professionally and promptly with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain records for capitalized assets and depreciation schedules.
- Interpret and apply complex accounting and auditing concepts.
- Analyze large datasets to draw logical conclusions.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of data for internal stakeholders.
- Understand and apply accounting processes within GAAP, IFRS, and CAES policy guidelines.
- Analyze situations accurately and recommend effective actions.
- Prepare comprehensive, clear, and concise accounting, financial, audit, and statistical reports and schedules.
- Initiate, plan, and complete work assignments with minimal supervision.
- Apply accounting procedures for calculating accruals, deferrals, and prepaids.

Qualifications:

Minimum:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Five (5) years of relevant Accounting Experience.

Preferred:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP and Oracle.
- Strong communication skills with peers and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
- Proficiency in mathematical techniques for data analysis and presentation.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, including accrual accounting, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and financial report preparation in accordance with GAAP and IFRS.
- Familiarity with internal controls.
- Experience in the defense industry.
- Understanding of accounting procedures for managing accruals, deferrals, bank reconciliations, and the closing process.

Salary Range:
$80,000 - $115,000 annually.


Salary may vary based on factors such as geographical location, job function, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
