Description:

Position Overview:

An Audiovisual Event Specialist is tasked with the installation and management of fundamental audiovisual systems within a hospitality setting, ensuring optimal client satisfaction. This role reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director, or Director of Event Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Management: Guarantees seamless events through precise and timely setup, operation, and dismantling of basic audiovisual apparatus.
  • Client Relations: Aims to surpass client expectations, fosters positive relationships, and oversees events throughout their duration.
  • Technical Proficiency: Capable of diagnosing and resolving equipment and software challenges promptly.
  • System Familiarity: Adheres to established protocols, enhances revenue through effective upselling strategies, and finalizes billing with clients.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is mandatory; an Associate's degree is advantageous.
  • Preferred experience includes 1 year in customer service or hospitality.
  • 1 year of audiovisual experience or a comparable educational background is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary for team members operating company vehicles.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.

Work Environment:

  • Hospitality Venue: Work is conducted in a hotel or convention center with varying conditions. Team members may encounter irregular hours and shifts, as well as exposure to heights.
  • Warehouse: Responsibilities include working at event locations and warehouses, with exposure to outdoor temperatures and high-end equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Team members must fulfill physical criteria for job functions, including vision, lifting, and carrying capabilities. Daily time allocation varies for different physical tasks.
