Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Financial Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable function, including processing invoices, reconciling cash accounts, and preparing financial statements.

Job Responsibilities
The Accounts Payable Financial Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Processing all phases of the accounts payable process, including ensuring proper documentation and approval of invoices
  • Reconciling all cash accounts on a monthly basis
  • Collecting and inputting relevant data for federal grant programs on a monthly basis
  • Preparing annual 1099s for filing with the IRS
  • Performing various other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Requirements
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:

  • An associates or bachelor's degree in accounting or a minimum of 5 years of accounts payable experience
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with accounting software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions
The work is typically performed in an office setting using computers and phones extensively. The successful candidate may be required to work outside of normal working hours for special events or other business-related events.

Estimated Salary
The estimated annual salary for this position is $43,568 - $49,224, based on a 35-hour workweek and the cost of living in Rhode Island.
