About the Role

Riot Games is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Technical Production to lead our Technical Production team in delivering high-quality solutions to some of VALORANT's most challenging technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Operations Leadership: Own the area work system for teams, including rituals, tracking, reporting, and partner management.
  • Team Management: Directly manage team-level Producers, coaching them on craft and career.
  • Organizational Development: Assess the organization's maturity, health, and composition, and improve any identified areas for improvement.
  • Strategic Direction: Collaborate with area leadership peers to set direction for the area.
  • Representation: Represent area direction and capabilities to VALORANT leadership.
  • Partnerships: Partner with area leaders across VALORANT to ensure the game's strategic priorities are met.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience with strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Producer, Product Manager, or Development Manager on medium to large teams.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience managing leaders of teams.
  • Methodologies: Experience applying Agile or Lean development methodologies at scale.
Desired Qualifications
  • SRE Experience: Experience working with SRE, DevOps, or software operations engineering teams.
  • Software Development Experience: Experience working with teams building software tools or engines for game developers.
  • Backend Services Experience: Experience working with teams building software for backend services or build infrastructure.
  • Game Development Experience: Experience in game development or a good understanding of how artists, engineers, and game designers build assets and game features for a modern game.
