Recruitment Specialist

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a pivotal role in the recruitment lifecycle, overseeing the process from candidate sourcing to hiring decisions. This position is integral to California Dairies, Inc., a prominent dairy processing cooperative.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete recruitment process for both salaried and hourly positions.
- Collaborate with site HR Managers to provide recruitment and advertising support.
- Develop and refine job descriptions as necessary.
- Maintain and enhance the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) with the HRIS Manager's assistance.
- Post job openings on relevant job boards to attract suitable candidates.
- Organize and participate in job fairs and information sessions at educational institutions.
- Build and sustain professional relationships with colleges and technical schools to source qualified applicants.
- Screen resumes and applications, conducting interviews using reliable selection methods.
- Evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit for the organization.
- Maintain communication with hiring managers and candidates to ensure a smooth recruitment process.
- Facilitate onboarding for new hires and promote the company's reputation within the industry.
- Keep accurate records of recruitment activities and applicant flow.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies while fostering a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing context.
- Proficient in various sourcing tools and recruitment strategies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with HRIS and internet recruiting tools.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Physical Demands
- The role requires a mix of sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional lifting of light items.
- Must be able to perform tasks that involve reaching, grasping, and manipulating office equipment.
Work Environment
- The position is primarily office-based, with occasional exposure to varying temperatures in the processing plant. Personal protective equipment is required as per safety guidelines.
