Position Overview: The Fitness Trainer plays a crucial role in guiding and mentoring employees on the effective use of exercise apparatus, showcasing techniques and proper form, monitoring participants, and providing insights to enhance their skills. This position also encompasses delivering wellness and fitness education, which includes goal setting, progress tracking, motivation, stress management, flexibility training, and nutritional guidance. The Fitness Trainer will cultivate relationships with employees to encourage program engagement and inspire them to adopt healthier lifestyle choices. Additionally, the Fitness Trainer will support the Wellness Coordinator in daily operations, wellness initiatives, and related events.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or a closely related discipline is mandatory.

Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Personal Trainer is required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Preferred: National Certification in Personal Training.
  • Preferred: National Certification in Wellness Coaching.

Essential Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of exercise science principles and fitness methodologies.
  • Awareness of nutritional and dietary practices.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead fitness classes.
  • Exceptional core customer service skills are essential.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities are required.
  • Proficient PC skills are necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities are required.
  • Capacity to maintain composure and professionalism in all circumstances is essential.
