About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Specialist to join our team at the Ohio Department of Public Safety. As an Information Systems Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting our information systems, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide maintenance and documentation support to information system users and/or IT specialists
  • Enter meta-data into repositories, perform loading validation, execute unit or system test scripts
  • Provide maintenance support for application software, develop, organize, file, and maintain platform-specific documentation
  • Install and monitor support to IT specialists, unpack, stage, and/or rack hardware, perform set-up and installation for hardware and/or software
  • Promote system security and awareness by adhering to the Agency's and/or State's IT security policies and standards
Requirements
  • Completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems
  • 12 months combined work experience as specified by the agency position description and job posting
  • Or 18 months combined work experience in any combination of the following: computers and/or telecommunications software/hardware, applications, support products, projects, or databases for small-scale systems or programs
