Description
The Customer Service Associate I plays a vital role in a business-to-business environment, focusing on the accurate resolution of inquiries and issues related to processing for designated clients. This position is committed to providing timely responses to inquiries while ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Analyze issues and processes independently, effectively communicating responses to routine questions and processing challenges according to established company standards.
2. Conduct research and analyze payment histories, determining when to engage with vendors or clients to resolve discrepancies and make timely payment decisions.
3. Represent the company positively, prioritizing customer needs and fostering strong client relationships.
4. Keep management informed of significant issues that may require additional attention or pose risks to client relationships.
5. Propose enhancements to existing procedures to improve client service and internal workflows.
6. Collaborate with internal departments to manage file maintenance and updates to client validation databases.
7. Seek guidance on significant non-routine issues from appropriate resources.
8. Document and report errors made by other departments within the organization.
9. Be available for overtime as necessary.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong interpersonal skills to enhance client responsiveness and build solid working relationships.
- Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in office equipment and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant college coursework in business administration or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 6 months of customer service experience in a general business setting or equivalent experience.
