If so, we'd love to hear from you We're seeking a seasoned, highly motivated Cerner Implementation PMO Manager to lead a team of Project Managers (PMs) focused on delivering Cerner implementations on time and within budget. This role is critical to our organization's success in optimizing our healthcare operations through Cerner.

Under the general direction of the Sr. Director of the Project Management Office, the Information Systems (IS) Manager, manages, coordinates and supervises various professional, technical and analytical staff and duties associated with application development, Technical Services, and Enterprise projects and programs. The operation of information systems including internet, network, and desktop computer systems; the position oversees the implementation of related systems hardware, software and/or programs. In addition, position shall provide assistance to regional leadership and project staff with regard to mentoring and ensuring that their project reporting is within IS PMO guidelines in order to promote transparency at all levels of our domain. He/She will maintain good working relationship with Corporate and Regional business partners, internal IS staff and with third-party system suppliers, including vendor resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of PMs responsible for all aspects of Cerner implementations, from planning and configuration to testing and go-live through transition to support.
  • Oversee the entire Cerner implementation lifecycle, ensuring projects meet established timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate and manage all vendors and internal teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with Cerner Program.
  • Provide clear and concise communication to senior management, business partners, and stakeholders on project progress, potential roadblocks, and key decisions.
  • Oversee project portfolio reporting for Cerner implementations, ensuring adherence to established IS PMO guidelines.
  • Conduct PM audits to verify project compliance with PMO policies and processes, identifying areas for improvement and partnering with internal and external audit.
  • Mentor and support regional project staff on reporting and project management best practices.
  • Delegate tasks and assignments effectively, ensuring all project areas are covered with expertise.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment focused on achieving project goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or other related technology major

Required Experience: 8-10 years experience within implementation of IS healthcare technology specially in the Cerner Clinical and Revenue Cycle space.

Preferred Experience: 8-10 years experience in Project/Program and Portfolio Management to include tracking project results based on quantified KPIs.

Required License/Registration/Certification: PMP Certification

Computer Skills Required: Google Drive products, MS products including MS Project or similar tool.
