Position Overview

As an Environmental Regulatory Compliance Advisor, you will be part of a dedicated team at Stantec Consulting International Ltd., where our commitment to safety, quality, and ethical practices drives our success. Your Role

In this part-time and flexible position, you will provide essential environmental compliance consulting services to both governmental and commercial entities. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to conduct comprehensive audits across various locations in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert environmental compliance consulting to clients.
  • Conduct audits to assess adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure compliance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in developing findings and strategies to address environmental hazards across multiple media, including air quality, water resources, and waste management.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong understanding of environmental regulatory frameworks and programs.
  • Experience in areas such as air quality management, water resource protection, and hazardous materials oversight.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 85% of the time).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with custom auditing software.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to pass federal background checks.

Education

A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or a related discipline is required. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in conducting audits and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations is preferred. Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA) or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) are highly desirable.
