POSITION: Productivity Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and implement the creation and upkeep of precise and efficient engineered standards through time and frequency evaluations.
  • Establish and uphold "Best Practices" for all operational roles, including the training of management and hourly staff on productivity and operational methodologies.
  • Facilitate business goals and enhance cost efficiency and throughput initiatives through needs analysis, workflow assessments, recommendations, and project execution.
  • Utilize suitable project management methodologies to strategize, develop, and synchronize the fulfillment of assigned tasks, delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Experiment with innovative concepts to optimize the workflow and configuration within distribution centers.
  • Assist in the design and execution of material handling systems integrated into existing, new, and expanded network facilities.
  • Support capital initiatives as necessary with work sampling, cost justification, and cost/benefit evaluations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team education, training, and the facilitation of engineering principles. Aid in the management of the productivity clerical team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in projects related to process design, work measurement, productivity enhancement, cost reduction, and project execution.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and database management is preferred.
  • Experience with work measurement techniques and tools, particularly in time study analysis.
  • Background in developing and implementing best practices.
  • Experience in maintaining a management observation program.
  • Experience in sustaining an accountability program.
  • Familiarity with productivity tracking and data collection systems.
  • Knowledge of Standard Data and Predetermined Time Systems.
  • Experience in conducting cost analysis for project validation.
  • Familiarity with Manhattan Associates Supply Chain suite is preferred.
