Collaborative Support Programs of New Jersey (CSPNJ), a nonprofit organization dedicated to mental health, is seeking Crisis Support Wellness Facilitators for our Newark location. Under the guidance of the Program Manager, the Crisis Support Wellness Facilitator will deliver essential support services to ensure guests experience a fulfilling and constructive stay. This role involves assisting guests in developing crisis management skills and pursuing their personal growth objectives.

During their time with us, guests will collaborate on a Wellness Plan and gain access to vital services and community resources in partnership with the Wellness Respite Associate. Our Wellness Respite program provides temporary accommodations for individuals in crisis, offering a welcoming environment where guests can maintain their daily routines. This initiative serves as a compassionate alternative to hospitalization.

Benefits include: Medical coverage, complimentary DMO dental and vision care, 6 weeks of paid time off, and 11 holidays.

  • Part-time position: 32 hours per week
  • Work Schedule: Friday - Saturday, 3:30 PM - 8:00 AM

About the Role:

Requirements for this position include:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant experience, or
  • A Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to handle crises and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Familiarity with the psychiatric rehabilitation model is preferred.
  • Ability to engage with individuals experiencing mental health challenges in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bilingual abilities are advantageous.
  • A valid New Jersey Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Personal Experience: CSPNJ values hiring individuals who can draw from their own experiences with mental health or substance use to motivate and assist others.
