Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in technology support within the financial services sector
  • Proficient in diagnosing and resolving application-related issues
  • Experience with cloud-based application support (preferably AWS)
  • Ability to write and execute SQL queries

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Python
  • Familiarity with AWS

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver application support for systems utilized by both front and back office operations, as well as client distribution teams, addressing business challenges and providing solutions to various investment teams and product-focused business areas
  • Take ownership of the operation, monitoring, and integrity of the technology platform, including managing complex nightly data import tasks from multiple external vendors
  • Provide triage and escalation support for the broader technology team, including after-hours support on a rotational basis
  • Engage in incident and problem management processes, ensuring accountability for resolution, conducting root cause analysis, and preparing technology/business reports and communications
  • Oversee the stability of the production environment within the change management framework, ensuring adherence to established policies
  • Manage minor development tasks or projects aimed at resolving existing issues or enhancing operational efficiency for the wider business community or technology organization
  • Collaborate with external vendors and their technical support teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and strategic improvements
  • Work closely with development teams to identify, escalate, and address recurring issues
  • Partner with testing and release control teams to facilitate the deployment of thoroughly tested code into production
